Sleep is one of the most frequent uses of CBD. This collection brings together the products in our range best suited to an evening routine: CBN-enriched oils, soothing profile flowers, infusions, and capsules. Here's how to understand what science really says, and how to choose.

What research says about CBD and sleep

Clinical data remains limited but is accumulating. A meta-analysis published in Sleep Medicine Reviews in 2025, covering six trials and approximately 1,077 participants, showed that formulations containing CBD combined with THC or CBN significantly improved subjective sleep, while CBD alone did not show a statistically significant effect in this specific analysis. In practice, user feedback is positive, but the precise mechanisms and optimal dosages are not yet established.

CBN (cannabinol), present in our Swiss Dream Special CBN, is the cannabinoid whose effects on sleep are the best documented to date. Recent clinical trials suggest an effect comparable to melatonin, albeit at higher doses (25 to 100 mg) than those usually offered in consumer products.

      Frequently Asked Questions

What time should I take CBD for sleep?

Sublingually, 30 to 60 minutes before bedtime. In capsule or orally, 60 to 90 minutes before. Start with a low dose and adjust over several days.

CBD or melatonin, which to choose?

These are different approaches. Melatonin acts directly on the circadian rhythm and is better documented for jet lag or phase disorders. CBD acts more on anxiety and relaxation that precede sleep. The two can be complementary.

      Does CBD create sleep dependence?

No. CBD is not physically addictive. Unlike benzodiazepine sleeping pills, you can stop it without documented withdrawal syndrome or rebound effect.

      What dosage for sleep?

There is no universal dosage. Clinical trials use very wide ranges (25 to 300 mg). In practice, start with 10 to 25 mg sublingually in the evening and increase gradually if necessary.
